GNU tar 1.16 and 1.15.1, and possibly other versions, allows user-assisted attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a tar file that contains a GNUTYPE_NAMES record with a symbolic link, which is not properly handled by the extract_archive function in extract.c and extract_mangle function in mangle.c, a variant of CVE-2002-1216.
Statement: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is not vulnerable to this issue as it contains a backported patch.
No detection rules found.

CVE-2006-1216 RunCMS 1.x - 'Bigshow.php' Cross-Site Scripting
RunCMS 1.x - 'Bigshow.php' Cross-Site Scripting
---
source: https://www.securityfocus.com/bid/16970/info
RunCMS is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability. This issue is due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input before including it in dynamically generated HTML content.
An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may facilitate the theft of cookie-based authentication credentials as well as other attacks.
