CVE-2012-6129 Transmission vulnerability
Title: Transmission vulnerability
Summary: Transmission could be made to crash or run programs if it received
specially crafted network traffic.
It was discovered that Transmission incorrectly handled certain micro
transport protocol packets. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause
a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
Instructions: After a standard system update you need to restart Transmission to make all
the necessary changes.

CVE-2012-6129 transmission: Stack-based buffer overflow (DoS) when processing acknowledgements
A stack-based buffer overflow flaw was found in the way Transmission, a free, lightweight BitTorrent client, performed connection acknowledgements processing. A remote attacker could issue a specially-crafted request that, when processed would lead to transmission-daemon crash.
