The dissect_pw_eth_heuristic function in epan/dissectors/packet-pw-eth.c in Wireshark 1.6.x before 1.6.13 and 1.8.x before 1.8.5 does not properly handle apparent Ethernet address values at the beginning of MPLS data, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (loop) via a malformed packet.

CVE-2013-1578 wireshark: MPLS payload starting with valid-looking ethernet address dissected twice (wnpa-sec-2013-01, bug 8043)
A denial of service flaw was found in the way MPLS dissector of Wireshark, a network traffic analyzer, performed dissection of certain MPLS packet capture files. A remote attacker could provide a specially-crafted MPLS packet / packet capture that, when processed, would lead to situation where tshark executable would enter a very large loop, when trying to process the crafted packet / packet capture file.
