  • Attackers must first enumerate valid project and node names via /WADashboard/login?cont=dashboardViewer and /broadweb/<project>.dpj before launching the exploit. Monitor for reconnaissance access to these endpoints.
  • The exploit is triggered via the RemoteWinExec function in webdobj.webdraw; monitor for unusual child process spawning from the WebAccess web server process invoking BwOpcBs.exe.
  • ·Affected version is Advantech WebAccess/SCADA 8.3.2 and below. Upgrade beyond 8.3.2 to remediate.
