  • Monitor for Flash Player (flash-plugin) processing specially crafted SWF files, particularly those exercising blur filter display object routines, which may indicate exploitation attempts.
  • The PoC SWF file causes a reliable crash in Firefox for Linux via out-of-bounds write in blur filtering; monitor Firefox processes loading SWF content for anomalous crashes.
  • The vulnerability results from an out-of-range pointer offset used to access sub-elements of an internal data structure; memory write operations through a pointer to an invalid memory location are the key behavioral indicator.
  • ·Affected products span multiple platforms and delivery mechanisms (Desktop Runtime, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Internet Explorer 11); ensure detections cover all relevant Flash Player deployment contexts.
