  • Crash occurs immediately upon opening a malformed PDF, or after minor interaction (scrolling, zooming). Monitor AcroRd32.exe for access violation exceptions (code c0000005) originating in AGM.dll (AGM!AGMInitialize offset ~0x584c9) shortly after PDF load.
  • Without PageHeap, the overflow may manifest as ntdll!RtlReportCriticalFailure due to heap chunk corruption detected by the system allocator — watch for this crash signature in AcroRd32.exe crash telemetry.
  • Heap overflow write occurs in AGM.dll (AGMInitialize) called from AcroRd32.exe sandbox process. Alert on AcroRd32.exe child processes crashing with access violation at addresses within AGM.dll image range.
  • ·Vulnerability affects Adobe Acrobat and Reader across multiple tracks up to specific version ceilings; all listed versions are vulnerable.
  • ·Reproduction confirmed on Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (2019.012.20035) on Windows 10 both with and without PageHeap enabled; crash behaviour differs slightly depending on PageHeap state.
