Detection & IOCsextracted from sources · hover to see the quote

  • CVE-2021-2075 exploits Oracle WebLogic Server via the IIOP and T3 protocols; monitor and restrict inbound IIOP (default port 7001/7002) and T3/T3S traffic to WebLogic servers for unauthenticated deserialization attempts
  • Affected Oracle WebLogic Server versions are 10.3.6.0.0, 12.1.3.0.0, 12.2.1.3.0, 12.2.1.4.0, and 14.1.1.0.0; flag unpatched instances of these versions in asset inventory
  • The vulnerable component is the 'Samples' component of Oracle WebLogic Server; ensure sample applications are removed or disabled in production environments as they expand the attack surface
  • ·The vulnerability is exploitable over both IIOP and T3 protocols; blocking or filtering these protocols at the network perimeter is a key mitigation step
  • ·No authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, meaning any network-accessible WebLogic instance is at risk without additional network controls
