CVE-2021-45095 [MEDIUM] Linux kernel (BlueField) vulnerabilities
Title: Linux kernel (BlueField) vulnerabilities
Summary: Several security issues were fixed in the Linux kernel.
It was discovered that the network traffic control implementation in the
Linux kernel contained a use-after-free vulnerability. A local attacker
could use this to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly
execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-1055)
Yiqi Sun and Kevin Wang discovered that the cgroups implementation in the
Linux kernel did not properly restrict access to the cgroups v1
release_agent feature. A local attacker could use this to gain
administrative privileges. (CVE-2022-0492)
Jürgen Groß discovered that the Xen subsystem within the Linux kernel did
not adequately limit the number of events driver domains (unprivileged PV
backends) could send to other guest

FAQ: Is Azure Linux the only Microsoft product that includes this open-source library and is therefore potentially affected by this vulnerability?
One of the main benefits to our customers who choose to use the Azure Linux distro is the commitment to keep it up to date with the most recent and most secure versions of the open source libraries with which the distro is composed. Microsoft is committed to transparency in this work which is why we began publishing CSAF/VEX in October 2025. See this blog post for more information. If impact to additional products is identified, we will update the CVE to reflect this.

kernel: out-of-bounds memory access in __f2fs_setxattr() in fs/f2fs/xattr.c when an inode has an invalid last xattr entry
In __f2fs_setxattr in fs/f2fs/xattr.c in the Linux kernel through 5.15.11, there is an out-of-bounds memory access when an inode has an invalid last xattr entry.
An out-of-bounds memory access flaw in the Linux kernel's F2FS (Flash-Friendly File System) functionality was found in the way users mount and operate corrupted image of this file-system if an inode has an invalid last xattr entry. A local user could use this flaw to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system.
