Vulnerability in the Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management product of Oracle Communications Applications (component: Connection Manager). Supported versions that are affected are 12.0.0.4 and 12.0.0.5. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via TCP to compromise Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management. While the vulnerability is in Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 10.0 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H).

Detection & IOCsextracted from sources · hover to see the quote

  • The vulnerability is exploitable over TCP with network access, targeting Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management Connection Manager. Monitor for unexpected or unauthenticated TCP connections to Connection Manager endpoints on affected versions (12.0.0.4 and 12.0.0.5).
  • Scope change is indicated, meaning successful exploitation may pivot to impact additional products beyond the directly targeted Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management instance. Broaden detection scope to adjacent systems.
  • Full takeover (C/I/A all HIGH) is the impact. Treat any anomalous process execution, file writes, or privilege escalation originating from the Connection Manager process as high-severity indicators of successful exploitation.
  • ·Only versions 12.0.0.4 and 12.0.0.5 of Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management are confirmed affected. Detections and mitigations should be scoped to these specific versions.
  • ·The vulnerable component is specifically the Connection Manager sub-component. Ensure network segmentation and monitoring is applied at the Connection Manager layer, not just the broader application.
  • ·No authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, meaning perimeter-level network controls (firewall rules restricting TCP access to Connection Manager) are a critical compensating control.
