In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: lpfc: Fix possible memory leak when failing to issue CMF WQE
There is no corresponding free routine if lpfc_sli4_issue_wqe fails to
issue the CMF WQE in lpfc_issue_cmf_sync_wqe.
If ret_val is non-zero, then free the iocbq request structure.

A flaw was found in the lpfc module in the Linux kernel. A missing release of allocated memory when an error occurs will cause a memory leak, potentially impacting system performance and resulting in a denial of service.
Statement: This issue has been fixed in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.7 and 9.1 via RHSA-2022:7683 [1] and RHSA-2022:8267 [2], respectively.
