In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: hinic: fix memory leak when reading function table
When the input parameter idx meets the expected case option in
hinic_dbg_get_func_table(), read_data is not released. Fix it.
Statement: A memory leak in the HINIC debugfs helper (hinic_dbg_get_func_table) left an allocated buffer unreleased on several return paths, enabling repeated queries to leak kernel memory.
Severity is limited because this lives under debugfs and typically requires privileged access and the HINIC driver + debugfs to be present.
