Summary: Several security issues were fixed in the Linux kernel.
Supraja Sridhara, Benedict Schlüter, Mark Kuhne, Andrin Bertschi, and
Shweta Shinde discovered that the Confidential Computing framework in
the Linux kernel for x86 platforms did not properly handle 32-bit
emulation on TDX and SEV. An attacker with access to the VMM could use
this to cause a denial of service (guest crash) or possibly execute
arbitrary code. (CVE-2024-25744)
Several security issues were discovered in the Linux kernel.
An attacker could possibly use these to compromise the system.
This update corrects flaws in the following subsystems:
- ARM64 architecture;
- MIPS architecture;
- PowerPC architecture;
- RISC-V architecture;
- User-Mode Linux (UML);
- x86 architecture;

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu: sprd: Avoid NULL deref in sprd_iommu_hw_en
In sprd_iommu_cleanup() before calling function sprd_iommu_hw_en()
dom->sdev is equal to NULL, which leads to null dereference.
Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.
A flaw was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's Spreadtrum (sprd) IOMMU driver. This issue occurred in the `sprd_iommu_cleanup()` function, where a null pointer dereference happened when calling `sprd_iommu_hw_en()`, as `dom->sdev` was `NULL`. This problem could lead to kernel crashes or instability. The bug was discovered by the Linux Verification Center using SVACE.
