  • The vulnerability exists in a Perl script called to load the login page of Telenium Online Web Application; monitor HTTP requests to the login page endpoint for injected Perl code patterns (e.g., backticks, system(), exec(), eval() constructs in parameter values).
  • The attack vector is network-accessible with no authentication required (PR:N, UI:N); alert on unauthenticated HTTP requests to the Telenium login page containing Perl metacharacters or code injection strings.
  • Affected versions are Telenium Online Web Application 8.3 and prior; flag any instances of these versions exposed to the network, especially internet-facing deployments.
  • ·No known public exploitation has been reported at time of advisory publication; threat intelligence on active exploitation is limited.
  • ·The CVE identifier was updated from CVE-2024-6404 to CVE-2025-8769 in Update A (August 12, 2025); any prior detections or signatures referencing CVE-2024-6404 for this product/vulnerability should be updated accordingly.
