Apache XmlSchema doesn't limit how deeply schema structures can be nested when it builds its schema model, so a malicious schema can make parsing recurse until the stack overflows. This causes a denial of service.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.3.3, which fixes this issue.

org.apache.ws.xmlschema/xmlschema-core: Apache XMLSchema: Denial of Service (DoS) via deeply nested schema structures
A flaw was found in Apache XMLSchema. When constructing its schema model, the parser does not restrict how deeply schema structures can be nested. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a crafted XML schema containing deeply nested elements, triggering uncontrolled recursion and a stack overflow that crashes the application, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
