kernel: nfc: llcp: fix WKS SAP hijacking via prefix match in nfc_llcp_wks_sap()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfc: llcp: fix WKS SAP hijacking via prefix match in nfc_llcp_wks_sap()
nfc_llcp_wks_sap() compares only service_name_len bytes, so a short
service_name like "u" matches longer WKS strings like "urn:nfc:sn:snep".
Fix by requiring exact length match before strncmp().
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Near Field Communication (NFC) subsystem. In the Logical Link Control Protocol (LLCP) implementation, the kernel validates service names using only the length of the provided name instead of verifying an exact match. A local attacker could exploit this flaw by supplying a shortened service name to improperly bind to and hijack a Well-Known Se

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5e: fix swapped IPv6 IPsec policy masks
IPv6 XFRM policies may use different source and destination prefix
lengths. mlx5e_ipsec_policy_mask() builds the corresponding masks
independently, but setup_fte_addr6() installs each mask in the opposite
address field.
When the prefix lengths differ, this makes the source match use the
destination prefix and the destination match use the source prefix. The
resulting hardware rule can both miss traffic covered by the policy and
match traffic outside it.
Install each mask in its corresponding match field.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mlx5 network driver. When configuring IPv6 IPsec (Internet Protocol Security) r

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

axios: Axios: Information disclosure via improper CIDR proxy bypass handling
A flaw was found in Axios. This vulnerability allows information disclosure when network traffic intended to bypass a proxy is improperly routed through it. Axios fails to parse Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation in proxy bypass lists as IP address ranges, treating them as plain text hostnames instead. As a result, an adversary with access to the configured proxy server can intercept or inspect sensitive request data and connection metadata intended for internal network services.

A flaw was found in SSSD. In trust-enabled identity management environments, SSSD evaluates Host-Based Access Control (HBAC) rules by stripping domain qualifiers and comparing only short usernames. An authenticated user in a trusted domain who shares the same username as an authorized local account can bypass access policies and gain unauthorized access to protected services or hosts.

vm2: vm2: Module allowlist bypass allows access to restricted packages
A flaw was found in vm2. This vulnerability allows an attacker to bypass the module allowlist, a security feature designed to restrict access to certain software modules. The flaw occurs due to an incorrect string comparison method used in the `isPathAllowedForModule` function. By exploiting this, an attacker can load and interact with modules that should be inaccessible, potentially leading to information disclosure or the execution of unintended code.

glibc: glibc DNS stub resolver: Denial of Service via long search domain in configuration
A flaw was found in the GNU C Library (glibc) DNS stub resolver. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker on the local network to cause a denial of service by providing a specially crafted, excessively long search domain. When the resolver attempts to initialize with this long domain from /etc/resolv.conf or the LOCALDOMAIN environment variable, it triggers an assertion failure, which aborts the process. kernel: netfilter: nft_lookup: fix catchall element handling with inverted lookups
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's `netfilter` component, specifically within the `nft_lookup` functionality. This issue arises from incorrect handling of 'catchall' elements during 'inverted lookups' in the `nft_lookup_eval()` function. Due to a logic error where the lookup result is not recomputed, network packets may be wrongly matched or skipped, leading to incorrect application of network filtering rules. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

A flaw was found in ksmbd, a Linux kernel module that provides an in-kernel Server Message Block (SMB) server. @fastify/forwarded resolves client addresses from the X-Forwarded-For header. In versions before 3.0.2, when the header contains two or more comma separated entries, the parser trims only space characters and does not strip horizontal tabs, even though RFC 7230 defines optional whitespace as both space and tab. As a result, an entry padded with a tab keeps the literal tab in the resolved address string. setuptools: setuptools: MANIFEST.in exclusion bypass in sdist via Unicode normalization collision (NFC/NFD)
setuptools is a package that allows users to download, build, install, upgrade, and uninstall Python packages. Prior to 83.0.0, FileList applied MANIFEST.in exclude, global-exclude, recursive-exclude, and prune directives by matching compiled glob patterns against on-disk file names without Unicode normalization, so on macOS APFS or HFS+ an NFD file name could bypass an NFC exclusion rule and be packed into a source distribution. This occurs when both a parent zone and a more-specific subzone are configured, and the longestMatch() function incorrectly uses a lexicographic string comparison.
