org.apache.bcel/bcel: Apache Commons BCEL: Stored Cross-Site Scripting via untrusted class files in Class2HTML
A flaw was found in Apache Commons BCEL. The Class2HTML component does not properly sanitize strings when generating web pages from Java class files. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted class file to trigger stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) when a user views the generated report. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary script code within the context of the victim's browser session.
Statement: This vulnerability is assessed as Moderate severity because successful exploitation requires an application to process untrusted Java bytecode with Class2HTML and subsequent user interaction to view the resulting reports in a browser. In supported Re
