console: console: authenticated SSRF via /ansibletower allows arbitrary host access with full response disclosure
Improper access control in Windows Cross Device Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A flaw was found in the console component. An authenticated user can exploit a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability by manipulating the `towerHost` parameter when accessing the `/ansibletower` handler. This allows the user to bypass pathname validation and access arbitrary internal or external hosts. The primary consequence is the exfiltration of full HTTP responses, leading to information disclosure from the affected system.
Statement: This Important vulnerability in the console component allows an authenticated Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management

CVE-2026-66804 [HIGH] Windows Exploitation Techniques: Dangling COM Object Registrations
This short blog post is about abusing a privilege escalation bug that Microsoft recently fixed in Windows, CVE-2026-66804 , that I and 14 others reported. This issue is an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-50343, a bug dubbed âDark Elevatorâ by Calif .

## Abuse Custom COM Marshaling, Again
A technique Iâve used multiple times in the past to load an arbitrary DLL into a privileged process is to abuse custom COM marshaling. When you call an interface method which is implemented out-of-process, the COM runtime will marshal the parameters into an RPC call to send to the server. If a parameter is a COM object then the runtime marshals that obje

CVE-2026-68821 [HIGH] Patch Tuesday - August 2026
Microsoft is publishing 421 vulnerabilities on August 2026 Patch Tuesday , including 236 vulnerabilities in Windows. This is lower volume than last month’s record-breaking behemoth, but still one of the largest Patch Tuesday totals ever. There is no reason to suppose that Patch Tuesday will ever return to the lower volumes we saw prior to 2026. Microsoft is aware of exploitation in the wild for one of the vulnerabilities published today, as well as public disclosure for two others, although the Notable CVEs section of the Security Update Guide omits one of these. As usual, browser vulns are not included in the Patch Tuesday count above, but unusually, Microsoft does not appear to have published any desktop browser security patches so far this month.

CVE-2026-66804 console: console: authenticated SSRF via /ansibletower allows arbitrary host access with full response disclosure
The /ansibletower handler parses req.body as {towerHost, token}, constructs a URL from towerHost, validates only pathname against a 3-entry allowlist (/api/v2/job_templates/, /api/v2/workflow_job_templates/, /api/v2/inventories/), then issues an HTTPS GET to attacker-controlled hostname + port + search with rejectUnauthorized: false and an attacker-supplied Authorization header. The full upstream response (status, headers, body) is piped back to the client.
Any authenticated ACM console user can reach arbitrary internal or external hosts via the hub's network position, exfiltrating full HTTP responses. The pathname allowlist is insufficient because the attacker
